Students in grades 6-12 use Career Cruising to learn more about themselves and to develop their Academic and Career Plan. Career Cruising offers the following assessments:
• Ability Profiler
• Career Matchmaker
• Skills Inventory
• Learning Styles Inventory
The career matchmaker will take no more than 30 minutes to complete. You will get a list of careers that match your interests and skills. For each career, there are multi-media profiles, including job descriptions, working environments, interviews with practicing professionals, required education and training, expected earnings and links to related careers.
In addition, Career Cruising is filled with information on education, careers, employment trends and more. Each student has a personal Career Cruising account with an e-portfolio. The e-portfolio holds assessment results, saved information on schools and careers, and the student's Academic and Career Plan. For login information, please contact your child's school counselor.
